Elmo is sad, simply wanting some friends to sing with. When he has the chance to infuse a little magic to make his wish come true, though, things begin to go awry, and a magical mayhem of song ensues!
Initially I was a little worried that my two-year-old granddaughter might not make it through the show without getting fussy and that my sons (10 & 12) would be bored. My worries were short lived, all three young children, my daughter and I were engaged with this lively show from the get-go!
My granddaughter was mesmerized throughout, sitting on our laps, clapping and rocking to the music while watching the colorful characters perfom. My sons were smiling, singing along, and paying rapt attention to the stage. Afterward, they said they really enjoyed the show and even joked around immitating some of the funny scenes.
From a parental perspective, my daughter and I appreciated the wholesomeness of the show, the colorful light show, cute characters, and familiar tunes morphed Elmo style. We couldn't help but smile through the entire show either at the adorable characters on stage, the silly jokes, or how our children were so engrossed in the lively action.
In my opinion, it would have been nice to have the music a little louder as Rupp is a big arena, but I appreciate that it is slightly toned down to accomodate all the children present at this attraction.
We were not on the main floor, but it's something I would consider in the future as the characters come down from the stage multiple times and you could see that it is a real thrill for the children to be so close and to dance alongside their favorites.
Overall, Sesame Street Live “Can’t Stop Singing” with Play Zone is a very enjoyable, toe-tapping time!
